Breast Cancer Screening (NQF 0031)
This report measures the percentage of women 40 to 69 years of age who had a mammogram to screen for breast cancer.
Patient Population: The initial patient population for this measure includes female patients who are at least 41 years of age but not older than 68 at the start of the measurement period (in order to anticipate patients having a mammogram within 2 years after reaching the age of 40).
Exclusions: None.
The system uses the following steps to calculate the percentage:
Divide the value in step 2 above by the value in step 1 above. The result is then multiplied by 100 to achieve the percentage.
