The Patient Tab

The Patient tab contains options for accessing patient‑related services. Depending upon your permissions, you may be able to see the following menu options:

Summary. The patient Summary menu allows you to view a collapsed, or summarized, view of a patient’s complete chart. For more information, see The Patient Summary.

Patient Visit. The Patient Visit menu allows you to access options for recording information about a patient’s visit, such as Start New Note, Copy Existing Note, and Documented Patient Visits. You also have menu options to quickly access a patient’s problems, vitals and history. For more information, see Clinical Notes.

Prescriptions. The Prescriptions menu allows you to access options related to tracking a patient’s medication information and prescription writing. For more information, see Electronic Prescribing and Medication Management.

Lab Tests. The Lab Tests menu allows you to access options related to viewing and entering lab results and ordering lab tests, For more information about ordering lab tests, see Order Entry, Viewing All Lab Results for a Patient , and Managing POC Test Results.

Flowcharts/Graphs. The Flowsheets/Graphs menu allows you to create flowsheets and graphs of data for the patient whose Summary you are currently viewing. For more information, see Flowsheets and Graphs.

Radiology. The Radiology menu allows you to place, document and view radiology orders and view all radiology results for a patient. For more information, see Radiology Orders.

Diagnostics. The Diagnostics menu allows you to view the most recent uploaded or electronically received diagnostics results for the patient. For more information, see Viewing All Diagnostic Results for a Patient.

Documents. The Documents menu allows you to view all other documents (for example, administrative, consents, disability, growth charts, home care records, etc.) and access a list of all documents that have been uploaded for the patient.
