Patient Communication

Care360 EHR provides the ability to communicate with your patients using MyQuest™. Care360 EHR supports communication using the following two account types:

Patient Portal accounts. This account enables you and the patient or an authorized representative to communicate via secure messaging and for the patient or authorized representative to receive, view, and save patient health data that you route to the patient. Patient Portal functionality is only available to organizations which subscribe to Care360 EHR and have Direct messaging enabled. For more information on setting up and managing a Patient Portal account, see Patient Portal Accounts. For more information on creating a Direct address, see Creating a Direct Address.

e-Patient accounts. This account enables you to send lab results to MyQuest. A patient can then view and store the lab results that you send. For more information, see e‑Patient Accounts.

Note: Most patients can automatically receive lab results in MyQuest due to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) ruling, effective April 7th, 2014, which allows patients in all states to have access to their lab results directly from Quest Diagnostics within 30 days. Some labs still require provider intervention. Therefore, if your organization orders lab tests through Solstas® Lab Partners, you must set up an e-Patient account if you want your patient to electronically receive lab results.
