Setting System Preferences

Care360 Labs & Meds, ePrescribing, and EHR provide a number of system preferences that can be used to customize various operational characteristics of the system. System preference settings are grouped into the following categories:

User preferences. Individual users can set several preferences that affect their own user account. User preferences include the default home page, ePrescribing options, default lab report view, settings for viewing new lab results and clinical documents lists or labs from the patient summary page, default units of measure for vitals, and a personal default encounter template.

Email preference. Individual users can specify or update an email address to use when retrieving a forgotten user ID.

Note: If you subscribe to notifications, this email address is used for retrieving a forgotten user ID as well as receiving product updates and news. If you update the email address on either the Associate Email Address page or Notifications page, both pages are updated automatically.

Notification preferences. Individual users can specify or update an email address so that the user can receive alerts about recently added features, maintenance updates, and other news.

Care360 Interactive Notifications preferences. Care360® Interactive Notifications is a service that sends a variety of notifications to your Windows® PC, Mac®, or iPad®. For example, Interactive Notifications can send you notifications for lab results that exceed established priority values or newsworthy information from Quest Diagnostics. You can select which notifications best meet your needs. Additionally, Care360 Interactive Notifications is only available if your organization has CDS Lab Alerts.

Organization preferences. Administrative users for an organization can set several preferences that affect all users that are members of their organization. Organization preferences affect several areas of the application, including new results and new clinical documents, CDS recommendations, patient link requests, messaging, encounter notes, Insure FIT patient reminders, flowsheets and graphing, ePrescribing, provider orders, vitals, immunization registry messages, and audit alerts.

Note: Depending upon your permissions, your access to organization preferences may vary.
