Address a Failed Electronic Prescription

Note: Failed Electronic Prescriptions is only available for Care360 ePrescribing or EHR organizations that have EPCS or for organizations in states that do not allow for faxing of prescriptions.

1 On the Message Center tab, click Prescriptions > Action Items.

Tip: You can also access the Action Items list by clicking the Action Items link from the Quick View page, or by clicking Prescriptions > Action Items from a patient’s summary.

2 To view activity for a specific provider within the organization, click a provider in the Provider Filter list.

3 Click an item in the Failed Electronic Prescriptions list to view the prescription.

4 Click Print Current Script to print a prescription that you can manually sign and provide to the patient.

Notes:  

The printed copy of the script includes the name of the pharmacy and the date and time the transmission failed.

You can only print a failed electronic prescription once.
