View New Clinical Documents

1 Click the Message Center tab.

Tip: Review the New Clinical Documents area of the Quick View page to see if you have any new electronically received or uploaded documents waiting. If you do have new clinical documents waiting, the New Clinical Documents area also indicates how many documents are uploaded or electronic.

2 Click Clinical Documents.

The new clinical documents page appears, displaying a list of the new clinical documents that you have received.

Note: Uploaded documents are identified by . Selecting an uploaded document opens the document in the program in which it was created.

3 In the Active Filter area, modify or select filter settings by doing one of the following, if needed:

Click the change filter link to modify any filtering currently applied, or to select filtering options, and then do one or more of the following:

In the Filter list, click Document Type, Category, or Patient to see only documents of a specific type, category, or for a specific patient.

In the By list, click a specific document type, category, or patient name.

To apply the filter settings to the New Clinical Documents list, click Filter.

Click the clear filter link to remove any filtering currently applied.

Note: To ensure that all documents are reviewed, it is recommended that you periodically review the New Clinical Documents list with no filter applied.

Tip: Any changes made to the filter settings from the New Clinical Documents list are temporary. If you navigate off the page or log out, the current filtering no longer applies.

4 While viewing the New Clinical Documents list, you can do one or more of the following, if needed:

Re‑sort the list. You can re-sort the list, as needed, by clicking the appropriate column heading; clicking the column heading a second time reverses the sort.

View a document. In the list of clinical documents, in the Document column, click the name/description of the document you want to view.

The content of the electronic documents appear below the New Clinical Documents list. An uploaded document opens in the program in which it was created.

Print one or more new clinical documents. You can select one or multiple documents to print. For more information about printing clinical documents, see Print New Clinical Documents.

Send a document to a patient. You can send a clinical document to a patient. For more information, see Send a New Clinical Document to a Patient.

Note: You can only send/resend clinical documents to patients who have an established Patient Portal account. For more information, see Patient Portal Accounts.

Add or edit a diagnostics description. You can add or edit the procedure code, result value, and comment attached to any diagnostics or radiology document in the New Clinical Documents list. For more information about adding or editing a diagnostics description, see Add a Diagnostics Description to a Diagnostics or Radiology Document or View or Edit a Diagnostic Description on a Diagnostics or Radiology Document.

Remove documents from the list. You can remove all of the documents on the current page or remove selected documents. For more information, see Remove Documents in the Clinical Documents List.

Note: Removing a document in the New Clinical Documents list does not delete the document from Care360 EHR; it only removes it in this list. All documents (whether new or previously viewed) are always available from the associated patient’s summary.
