Print a Lab Result for a Patient

1 Access the lab results list for a patient; for instructions, see View All Lab Results for a Patient .

2 Do one ore more of the following to view result details:

To view detailed results for a requisition (from the All Reports tab), click a report ID in the Report ID column. Continue with the next step.

To view detailed results for a test or panel (from the All Tests tab), click a test name in the Test Name column. Continue with the next step.

Click to view detailed results for a requisition (from the All Reports tab) or a test or panel (from the All Tests tab) in a PDF document. Skip to step 4.

3 Do any of the following:

To print a simplified report, click and then Print Current Report.

Note: If the lab report is available as an Interactive Insights report and a basic report, both reports are included in the print out.

To print Interactive Insights lab reports:

a Click Print at the top of the result report.

b In the Print menu, select or clear check boxes to indicate which items you want included in the printed version.

c Click Print Results.

4 In the Adobe Reader toolbar, click .

5 In the Print dialog box, configure any additional print settings as needed, and then click Print.

6 When you are finished printing, close the Adobe Reader window.

Notes:  

To print an uploaded lab report (identified by ), click the title of the report to view it in a new window, and follow the instructions for printing in the application with which it was opened.

When printing an Interactive Insights lab report, the physician-focused view of the report is printed.

Any annotations that have been added to the result(s) are printed on the last page of the report. For more information about annotations, see Viewing or Adding Lab Result Annotations.

To protect a patient’s privacy, the patient’s Social Security Number will not appear on printed results.
